"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease." Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the stimulation of Acupuncture points to control and regulate the flow and balance of energy (or "Chi") of the body. The Chinese refer to the energy of the body as "Chi". We use only sterile, disposable Acupuncture needles. In our office we combine Acupuncture with Physiotherapy for the fastest results. Acupuncture also works best when combined with manipulation. It is only in Western culture that we split Acupuncture and Chiropractic up into separate professions. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture and manipulation are always done together.

Corrective Exercises
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%.

Yoga
In practice, yoga is an applied science of the mind and body. It comes from the Hindu vedas (scriptures). Practice and study of it help to bring about a natural balance of body and mind in which the state of health can manifest itself. Yoga itself does not create health; rather, it creates an internal environment that allows the individual to come to his own state of dynamic balance, or health. Basically, yoga teaches that a healthy person is a harmoniously integrated unit of body, mind and spirit.

Lifestyle Advice
We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most.

Nutritional Counseling
We provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patients' return to optimal health.

Spinal and Postural Screenings
Posture and spinal screenings can reveal important health information and unlock the door to improved health and well-being. We provide screenings at area malls, community events, health fairs and places of employment. Contact our office today to arrange a screening at your event or workplace.

Custom-Fit Orthotics
Spinal/pelvic stabilizers are a prescribed style of flexible foot orthotics which are worn in shoes. Stabilizers are recommended by chiropractors and other health professionals, and are scientifically designed for the individual’s unique postural problems.

Manipulation Under Anesthesia
Manipulation of the spine under anesthesia is the art, science and practice of the restoration of the function of bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. The overall objective is to relieve the patient's pain and disability and normalize joint motion and musculoskeletal function without incisional surgery. It provides a more aggressive approach to conditions non-responsive to conservative clinical management.
Spinal manipulation under anesthesia is indicated but not limited to the following conditions: 1. Acute strain/sprain with intractable muscle spasm. 2. Acute intractable torticollis. 3. Chronic fibrotic changes in the paravertebral musculature. 4. Chronic myofascitis 5. Chronic myositis 6. Chronic fibrosis (intra-articular, articular and peri-articular). 7. Non-responsive or static paravertebral muscular spasm. 8. Peridural fibrosis. 9. Failed surgical back syndrome. 10. Bulging disc. 11. Herniated disc. 12. Anomalies with restricted motion following trauma (including secondary or adaptive muscle shortening)
